The United States health care system is at an inflection point. New models of care and digital technologies are ushering in innovative approaches to deliver accessible and affordable care for all communities. Telehealth, artificial intelligence, wearables, sensors and other technologies continue to function as indispensable tools to augment how care is delivered inside and outside of the four walls of healthcare facilities. Despite the positive benefits of technology, critical questions remain regarding the current and future role of payment models to support the fair distribution and use of digital health technologies.
The workgroup led by the Co-Chairs will identify and develop solutions to help recommend payment models that facilitate digital health technology access, understanding, and adoption for the most vulnerable.

Technology companies often design solutions that solve a problem without fully considering the needs and desires of the patients and communities. Some experts speculate that the lack of patient and community involvement in the technology development process is contributing to low product adoption and engagement. This presents a significant opportunity for digital health leaders to reimagine the technology development process and how to optimize digital health engagement for all communities.
The workgroup led by the Co-Chairs will identify and develop solutions to strengthen digital health skill sets, knowledge, understanding, while fostering partnerships and relationships between patients, communities, and the digital health ecosystem to enhance engagement and collaboration.

Access to capital is one of the primary drivers to supporting entrepreneurs that are developing solutions to help communities lead healthier lifestyles, especially the most vulnerable. Unfortunately, accessing capital remains a challenge for underrepresented entrepreneurs. The challenge necessitates holistic support, comprehensive resources, and a nurturing ecosystem that cultivates innovative solutions to ensure underrepresented entrepreneurs have access to capital to grow their enterprise successfully and sustainably. We believe that enhancing access to capital for underrepresented entrepreneurs will foster more digital health technologies to help vulnerable communities manage their health and wellbeing.
The workgroup led by the Co-Chairs will identify and develop approaches to enhance access to capital for underrepresented entrepreneurs, while helping develop a digital health investment ecosystem that supports scalable and sustainable growth.

Despite AI’s vast potential, significant questions, challenges, and knowledge gaps remain.
The workgroup led by the Co-Chairs will identify and develop solutions to ensure the effective, safe, and fair distribution of AI models and tools.
